Meet our Social Team!

Ever wonder what keeps our social content at Agnostic so vibrant? It’s all thanks to the powerhouse that is our social committee! Made up of Emily O’Rourke, Keri Johnson and Alex Wilcox, the committee brings together unique perspectives that spark fresh ideas and engaging collaborations. In this blog, we dive into how our team finds inspiration, stays on top of trends, and strikes that balance between informative and fun content (including our infamous memes).

What’s your favourite part about being on the social committee?
We get the chance to collaborate with people we don’t always work with in our day-to-day, which keeps things fresh and gives us a broader perspective. Being part of the committee also keeps us up-to-date on everything happening across the agency. Each of us brings a unique viewpoint to the table—whether it's from corporate, consumer, or design teams—allowing us to use our individual strengths to craft compelling content.

What inspires the creativity behind Agnostic's social media content?
Staying tuned into the latest trends helps keep our content relevant – we draw a lot of inspiration from current events and pop culture. But we also look at other profiles who are killing it in the social landscape beyond just agencies or trade accounts. We pull inspiration from influencers, major brands, and pretty much anything that catches our eye across social media platforms.

How do you stay on top of current trends while maintaining the brand’s unique voice?
We follow a lot of different accounts, from reality TV fan pages to TikTok pets, so we each keep our finger on the pulse of what’s happening. It’s all about staying approachable and showing the culture of the company, not just the work. That blend of professionalism and personality helps us maintain consistency in our brand voice.

How do you balance content that is informative and professional with content that is engaging and fun (aka the memes)?
It's definitely a fine line, but we plan our content at least a month in advance to ensure there's a good mix. This gives us a snapshot of what’s informative and professional, alongside the more fun, engaging posts like our infamous memes. We're also always on the lookout for major pop culture events, like the Grammys or Oscars, so we know when the perfect moment for a meme might arise!

What’s one piece of advice you would give to brands looking to improve their social media presence?
Have fun and be flexible! Social media moves fast, and trends can pop up overnight. The key is to be open to jumping on them as they arise—and enjoying the process along the way!
